A House on a Hill

You find yourself at the end of an October afternoon. The sun will be setting soon. After a day of walking around town and being with your friends, you all decide to stir things up. After offering to make a bet with you, you accept and of course knowing your luck you lose. The price for losing said bet with your friends? Walk into the abandonded house on the hill and bring out an object that could cure the boredom that plagues you all. You stand at the front of the house inches from the front porch... You decide its better to be called a coward than a dead man. Decided its not worth the risk of death of who knows what from the abandoned house. Who knows what could be in there? Ghosts? Disease? Diseased ghosts? Your don't plan on finding out! You wave off your friends and walk into the sunset. [[Go Home Coward]]

Not wanting to be called a coward in front of your friends, you rolls up your sleeves puts on your tough guy face and walk head on into possible danger. Or at least a lot of cobwebs. When walking in, with the door creaking loudly and slowly opening, see how out of shape the place is. Upkeep has not been done as well as some odd sounds can be heard here and there inside the old white dirty walls. Must be mice... Game Over

Looking around the main entryway the you would look over filth. Miles of filth even... However on a small table nearby the you could see somthing glittering in the dust and cobwebs. A gold ring on closer inspection. Who would leave this here? Something of value and could help with your task. Moving upstairs the you find yourself in a long hallway with a few rooms. The main points of interest being the master bedroom and the children's room. Full of creepy dolls all staring at the from inside the room. [[Go to the master bedroom]] [[Go to the childrens room]] [[Go to the guest room]] [[Go to the bathroom]]

You enter the kitchen and find a ton of trash left among the place. Rotten food puts a pungent smell in the nostrils of the player. Almost enough to make them sick. [[Check the trash can]] [[Look around the main area.]] [[Is there still time to back out?]]

Ingram seems interested to join you but he insists that this is a you mission and a you mission alone. Nice try on getting out of it though. [[Walk in alone]] [[Ask Ryan to join]] [[Be a coward]]

Ryan denies being dragged into this. He does not plan on taking a punishment on a bet he did not lose. Nice try... [[Ask Ingram to join]] [[Walk in alone]] [[Be a coward]]

You take one look at this place and say nope. You turn on your heels and march right out of the front door. One look was all it took for you to turn pale white out of fear. However according to your friends you look more.. yellow... as they make fun out your cowardness you ignore them knowing one thing... at least you're alive. [[Go Home Coward]]

You decide that is all you need and bale. You swipe the ring off the old dirty brown table and srpint as fast as you can. The wooden boards of the floor creek under you as you run. You run outside almost running into Ingram who seemedd to be on their way inside to check on you. You show them the gold ring hoping it would be enough and thank god... it is! Your friends impress you just walked inside and in a matter of moment found a treasure. They kind of want to go inside themselves to treasure hunt. Before doing so Ingram then remembers its best to not just take random object from a house. Even if it is abandoned. Where to go from here? You leave the gold ring where it is. Not wanting to touch anything valuable just in case. You don't really know if the owner would ever come back to this abandoend house. You don't even know why or how this house is abandoned. With some cleaning it could look great. You press on anyway. [[Look around upstairs. ]] [[Is there still time to back out?]]

Maybe you should leave. Obviously at this point there is nothing here for you. You hear more noise upstairs that makes you jump! Not wanting to stick around you leave! [[BACK OUT NOW]]

You in good faith can not go through with this. You takes Ingrams advice and deicde to put the ring back. You walk back inside. The earlier feeling of uneasiness washed away on the second time walking in. You go straight to the table placing the ring back where you found it. Upon doing so howver you see movement out of the corner of your eye. You look up, looking over to the stairs. For a moment you swear you see a small girl on the stiars holding to the rail as she stares at you. Taken back, you jump in fear. Looking away towards the door for a split second beofre looking back and seeing the girl is gone. You leave as soon as you can. Ignoreing your questioning friends as you walk straight home. Horrified by what you saw, you don't want to talk about it. [[Go home]]

You take the ring anway ignoring ingram. It was left alone for so long. The owner forgot about it by now right? Taking it home you leave it next to your desk and go to bed. That night you dream. You have nightmares of a face of a young girl staring at you. Waking up several times during the night you find it more and more difficult to sleep. The uncomfortable sight of the girl drives you to just stay awake. Staring at the ring for a moment you figure, is this the cause? No way right? How could that be? You decide to shake it off for the night. Years later you are convinced it was the ring... The same nightmare of the young girl staring you. Perfectly instilled in your mind. You sold that ring long ago... how could you fix this now? You don't think you can... [[The end]]

Game Over

You walk into the largest bedroom. The old sheets on the bed look... nice. Oddly enough As old as the house seem the bed looks almost brand new. What made people want to leave so quickly? You hear an audiable gasp enter the room. You almost jump out of your skin. A woman stands at the door way. She asks you why are you in her house? You studder a bit stunned. Looking around for a moment the room Looks to be in contruction somehow. The bedframe in contruction. No dust or dirt in sight now. Trying to get your bearings you try to talk to the woman. [[Ask if she is a ghost]] [[Apologize and lie saying you thought this was your friends house.]]

You walk into the children's room. Full of old dolls from different time periods. The older they are the creepier they come across. You see one doll staring right at you in the center of the room. [[Touch it]] [[Leave it]]

You walk into the guest room. It looks like a nice area. There is not much to see here. Just a bed and a closet full of nothing. [[Search this area]] [[Go to the master bedroom]]

You check the bathroom. A moldy smeel fills this area. You look into the mirror for a moment to see yourself. Yeah thats you alright but... somthing is off. You se yourself... look behind you. Does that make sense? Your relxtion is looking behind you. For a moment you fall for this trick and look behind yourself. Hairs on ends thinking you will see someone there. Nothing... You look back and your refection is back to normal it seems. [[It was your imagination. Move on]] [[BACK OUT NOW]]

You ask if she is a ghost. A moment of scilence passes. Slowly her face morphs and melts. You scream in fear as this starts to happen. Closing your eyes hoping it all goes away. You open then after a few more seconds of the sound of silence to find yourself alone in an old dirty room once again. [[BACK OUT NOW]]

You quickly apologize to the woman. You claim you thought this was Ryan's house. The woman shakes her head a bit disappointed and shoes you out the house. On your way out, the house looks brand new. The walls freshly painted, The floors freshly waxed and done. It was clean and full of life. You walk out to find your friends looking at you confused as you stood there confused yourself. They ask if you are ok you shake your head explaining the situation. You look back to the house to suddenly find it in its old decrepit state... [[Time to leave]]

Its not worth looking into. Nothing on Earth can explain what you saw. Holding it inside you go home ignoreing your friends questions and taunts. You stay far as you can from the house wanting nothing to do with it. Who could blame you? [[The end]]

You touch it. As soon as you walk up and touch the doll, you eyes flash with light. Blind for a moment you rub your eyes as you hear a child laughing behind you. Finally being able to see you quickly turn to look for said child. Your hair standing on end. For a split second you see a figure of a small girl looking at you curiously before dissapearing from view. [[BACK OUT NOW]] [[Press on]]

You leave it. Not wanting to mess with anything you don't anything about. [[Go to the master bedroom]] [[Go to the guest room]]

You peer into the trash can and find the source of the horrid smell. A dead rat lays there. Now thats a find! Only question is... do you put this to use? [[Touch the rat and pick it up to prank your friends]] [[Leave it alone and move on]] [[Poke it with a stick]]

You pick up the rat. You feel filthy but this could work. You hold it by its tail as you run outside. Your friends screaming not wanting to be touched by it as you chased them around the front yard. After a break in the run, you drop it. You... are gonna be sick tomorrow possibly. It may be best to go home with everyone satified now. [[The end]]

You decide its best not to throw up and cause sickness to yourself. Good call. It would have been better to not be here in the first place but hey! Here we are! [[Look around the main area.]] [[Look around upstairs. ]] [[Is there still time to back out?]]

How productive. You find an old metal rod and poke the dead rat. To be young again... Anyway what now? [[Leave it alone and move on]] [[Touch the rat and pick it up to prank your friends]] [[Is there still time to back out?]]

What to do, what to do? You search the area and come up short. You stand there for a moment taking in how relxing this one spot it. The setting sun with its warm orange glows come through the window. This is nice... [[Go to the master bedroom]] [[Is there still time to back out?]]
